Cameron McGill & What Army – Two Hits and a Miss

“Two Hits and a Miss” EP was an immediate follow-up to Cameron McGill’s 2009 full-length release, “Warm Songs For Cold Shoulders”. The goal I took with Art Direction on Two Hits was to step away from the long process we went through with illustrations that became the foundation of artwork for Warm Songs’ release. I resorted to my 35mm camera on a local photo shoot for another band, Table & Chairs (La Historia, The Braves), that I was working with in order to get a shot I needed for Cameron’s planned, digital-only release, Two Hits and a Miss. One of those projects that came up quick, and was completed quickly in order to successfully meet a release date on iTunes and other online distributors. (Plus, I got to use a Joy Division inspired typeface I had been waiting to integrate into a design!) The band decided to do a short-run of CDs to sell as merch featuring different covers of the band members.
