“I.M. Merica” – GrahamSpencer, FatWallet.com

One of many original songs I’ve composed and recorded in the last 20 years, “I.M. Merica,” is featured during the 1:40-2:15 reel mark. The song’s instrumental backing track was re-recorded by The Pimps. Video recorded and edited by Pablo Korona for Graham Spencer (ad agency) and Fat Wallet for submission to Entrepreneur Magazine.

It should be noted that the agency, GrahamSpencer, did not legally request rights for permission to use my song in this video. However, due to the video’s tone and subject matter, along with the fact that my original song and lyrics mocks everything that this video boasts of, I let it slide because it’s perfect— and because the irony runs deeper. GrahamSpencer, a Northern IL agency that specializes in brand identity, absolutely loathes me. They’ve made it very well known over the years that they’re jealous of the fact that I’m one man with the skills of an entire ad firm, and they’re an ad firm with many, many people and hands who can barely accomplish one thing without overcharging their clients. They had no idea that I was a creative component their over-priced marketing campaign. Thanks Pablo!

“I.M. Merica,” was rerecorded by midwestern punk band, The Pimps, who included it on their last record with my permission. Watch and listen below.
